This policy explains how WaterSlideRentals(“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you use this website. It is written to align with the EU GDPR and applicable US state privacy laws (e.g. the CCPA/CPRA for California residents).

2. What we collect & why
Quote requests. When you submit the quote form we collect your name, email, phone number, ZIP code, event details, and your consent (timestamp and the exact wording you agreed to). We use this to forward your request to the rental provider(s) you selected so they can contact you. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and the performance of pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Reviews. When you submit a review we collect your name, email and review content. Your email is used only to confirm the review (double opt-in); your first name/display name and review text are shown publicly once approved. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Provider inquiries. If you ask to list a business, we collect your business and contact details to respond. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps / legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) GDPR).
Technical data. Our hosting provider automatically processes server log data (e.g. IP address, browser, time of request) to deliver and secure the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest in a secure, functioning service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Sharing with rental providers
The core purpose of the quote form is to connect you with rental companies. Your request is shared with the matched provider(s) so they can respond to you directly. Those providers act as independent controllers for any further contact. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Processors & third parties
We use carefully selected service providers that process data on our behalf:
- Supabase — database & storage hosting.
- Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
- Resend — sending transactional emails (lead and review notifications).
These providers may process data on servers in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Cookies & analytics
We use only essential cookies required to operate the site. If we add privacy-friendly analytics in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
6. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law (e.g. tax/commercial retention periods), then delete or anonymize it. Consent records for quote requests are retained as evidence of consent.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing). You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — note we do not sell personal information.
